Tips for Reliable Updates
4 Tips for More Reliable EZ Sign Updates
NFC antenna positions and power performance vary depending on the smartphone model. If an update fails, please try the following steps in order.
-
01 Remove Your Phone Case
Thick cases, metal parts, and wallet-style cases with cards may reduce NFC communication performance.
-
02 Align the NFC Antenna Position
Slowly move your smartphone around the upper or center area of the back side to find the position where EZ Sign responds.
-
03 Try Updating from the Back Side of EZ Sign
For some smartphone models, updating from the side without the display can bring the NFC antenna closer and provide a more stable connection.
-
04 Keep Your Phone Still Until Completion
4-color models may take approximately 30 seconds to complete an update. Keep your smartphone and EZ Sign together until the completion message appears.
Some AQUOS series smartphones may experience unstable updates depending on the model. At this time, we do not have sufficient internal test data for individual AQUOS models to provide a general compatibility rating. Please remove your phone case and try updating from the back side of EZ Sign.
Before You Use
Please Check Before Use
Do smartphones with the same model name always work the same way?
Not always. Results may vary depending on the OS version, carrier model, phone case, individual device differences, and app updates. This compatibility list shows our test results at the time of evaluation and does not guarantee operation on every device.
Can I use a smartphone that is not listed?
A smartphone that is not listed does not mean it is incompatible. It means that:
• We have not tested the device yet
• We do not currently have enough evaluation data to publish the result.
Additional devices will continue to be tested and added. Even NFC-compatible smartphones may have different update stability depending on NFC antenna position and power performance.
Can I purchase EZ Sign if my smartphone is marked "Compatible with Conditions"?
Yes, you can use EZ Sign. However, please carefully review the conditions shown in the compatibility table, including EZ Sign size, display color type, and recommended update position.
In particular, the Google Pixel 7 with the 4.2-inch 4-Color model is not recommended because update performance was found to be highly unstable during testing.
What should I do if an update fails?
Please try the following:
1. Remove your phone case.
2. Adjust the smartphone's NFC antenna position.
3. Try updating from the back side of EZ Sign.
4. Avoid metal desks or metal surfaces.
5. Keep your smartphone still until the update is complete.
